NESI also supports project planning by developing detailed capital expenditure (CapEx) and operating expenditure (OpEx) estimates, giving clients the financial insight required for confident and informed decision-making.

Modular Plant Supply – Pilot / Demo

We design, quote, and deliver pilot and demonstration-scale equipment that allows you to validate the electrolytic process on-site and de-risk your project before full-scale deployment. We provide expert guidance on integrating our electrolysis technology with your upstream and downstream processes, ensuring an optimized flowsheet. NESI also offers support for scaling up to commercial production, including equipment design, installation, and ongoing assistance.

In–House Brine Validation Center

NESI’s soon-to-be-completed commercial-scale validation center will offer fully-automated full-scale commercial testing and process validation of customers’ unique brines. This new capability allows for customers to confirm process efficiencies and equipment suitability at full industrial scale using actual brine, greatly de-risking projects and confirming process pathways to market without the need of an onsite demonstration facility.

Industrial Production Plant Electrolyser Supply

For industrial-scale projects, NESI offers a comprehensive electrolyser supply package built around our proven NORSCAND® technology. This includes a basic engineering package—suitable for hand-off to an EPC contractor—as well as the complete electrolyser system, including NORSCAND® cell stacks, DC power integration, brine handling, and gas management interfaces. NESI provides ongoing technical support, commissioning assistance, and lifecycle services, including spare parts supply, cell refurbishment, and system upgrades to maintain peak performance over time.

Electrochemical Testing and Development (Process scale up support)

NESI operates a state-of-the-art commercial demonstration electrolysis test center in Richmond BC designed for full-scale testing and validation on our NORSCAND® technology. This fully instrumented facility is staffed with a multidisciplinary team of skilled scientists, engineers and technicians. Using NORSCAND® cells, we can test your specific brine at both pilot and full demonstration scales. This allows for brine specific process data collection and process optimization tailored to your unique resource.

With this testing, we focus on determining optimal brine treatment requirements, accurately modelling process performance and durability, and ultimately engineering and scaling facilities for efficient commercial production. Beyond testing, we provide guidance on upstream and downstream processes to guarantee the smooth integration of our technology into your existing operations.
